[Overview of Fuel Injection System]
• The Transfer pump suction fuel from the tank and supplies it to the Fuel Pump.
• The fuel is pressurized by the fuel pump to a high pressure and then supplied to the common rail.
• The common rail accumulates fuel and acts as a fuel manifold to supply fuel to the fuel supply pipes of each injector.
• The high-pressure fuel supplied to the injector is injected into the combustion chamber at the optimum timing through the electronically controlled nozzle in the injector.
Common Rail:
The common rail distributes the high pressure pump to generate high pressure fuel and sends it to the injectors of each cylinder. Shared oil tank
equipped with a fuel pressure sensor, and a pressure limiter.
The fuel pressure sensor test the fuel pressure in the common rail and the engine controller uses fuel pressure regulation
